From Radical:

“Why do the nations rage

and the peoples plot in vain?

The kings of the earth set themselves,

and the rulers take counsel together,

against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying,

‘Let us burst their bonds apart

and cast away their cords from us.’” (Psalm 2:1–3)

As we meditate on this text, let us remember the beauty of what God has done in uniting us to Christ. Though we were once His enemies, He is now our refuge, our Redeemer. Regardless of the world’s opposition, it is the Lord’s purpose that will stand.

It’s not good enough that people go to church, it’s not good enough that they have one kind of religion or the other. The question is have they become disciples of Jesus Christ. Are they now listening to the Lord Jesus Christ. Have they come under the rule of Jesus Christ. If they haven’t all other appeals are useless. This alone is what matters in life. It is whether today you are in a right relationship with the Son of God or you are not. If you are not in a right relationship with Him, it doesn’t matter what else you have done in your religion. You may have brought your entire wealth into the life of the church, you must still go to hell.
