Lecture 4 from the Biblical Counseling course from For the Mission Institute. In this lecture, Pastor Jon Mark Olesky begins to explore the Christ-Centered Teaching Approach: Word & Spirit. He begins talking about the importance of praying scripture and enjoyment of the Word. He also emphasizes inerrancy, combination of the Word and the Spirit, and explains how all of scripture ultimately points to Jesus as necessary foundation in teaching the scriptures.

In the third lecture in the “Biblical Counseling” course, pastor Jon Mark Olesky​ talks about the centrality of God in personal ministry with an emphasis on using the names of God. When we ask how God reveals himself in scripture, we must start with his names. Starting with a few Hebrew names, we see they ultimately culminate in the name above all names, Jesus Christ. In his name, all can find help in their time of need.
